Dmitry Shorin Born in 1971 in Novosibirsk. From 1987 to 1988, the artist studied at the art and graphic faculty of the Omsk Teacher Training College, from 1988 to 1990 — at the Academy of Consumer Services in Omsk, as a costume designer, from 1990 to 1992 — at the Academy of Public Services in St. Petersburg with the same specialty. Since 1993, Shorin has been a member of the Free Culture Association of Artists (St. Petersburg). In 2009, he became a Kandinsky Prize nominee in the Project of the Year nomination with a series of paintings called Desktop. He is the author of sculptural installations and panels, in particular (together with Sergey Shnurov) at Pulkovo Airport (St. Petersburg, 2013). Lives and works in St. Petersburg.
