Biography
Vlad Loktev was born in 1961 in Moscow. After serving in the army, he began practicing photography seriously in the Zaitsev Fashion House, where Loktev worked as a model. His first exhibition was held in the late 1980s in Tallinn as part of the fashion festival. In the early 1990s, together with the RED STARS Agency, he began to develop a modeling business in Russia. Vlad Loktev is a founder of the native fashion photography, his works were published in such magazines as Vogue, Glamor, Tatler, GQ, Maxim, Cosmopolitan, Harper’s Bazaar, L’Officiel, Elle and in the others. In 2019, the photographer, whose name among experts of photography associates exclusively with fashion and advertising shootings, first presented a series of abstract works within the walls of Ruarts Gallery.
