Biography

Aidyn Zeinalov (b. 1978, Moscow) is a Russian sculptor, graphic artist, architect, and designer, academician of the Russian Academy of Arts (RAKh). Corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts (2012), full member (Academician) of the Russian Academy of Arts (2017); academician of the Florentine Academy of Arts (2018). PhD in аrt studies (Institute of Theory and History of Arts, RAKh, 2011). He is an assistant professor of academic drawing at the Moscow State Academy of Industrial and Applied Arts named after S.G. Stroganov. Zeinalov is the founder and director of the Supporting Foundation of Scientific and Educational Activities Institute of Interdisciplinary Research INTER-ESSE (since 2011). Graduated from the V.I. Surikov Moscow State Academic Art Institute (sculpture department) in 2002. Awarded the gold medal of the RAKh (2001). Graduated from the Moscow Architectural Institute (faculty of "architectural environment design") in 2005. From 2002 to 2005, intern at the RAKh in the workshop of sculptor Vladimir Tsigal. He works as a sculptor, a graphic artist, as well as an author of the architectural projects and of the interior designs. Zeinalov is the author of the monuments of Giacomo Puccini and Giuseppe Verdi installed in Montecatini Terme (Italy). His monuments and sculptural compositions adorn cities in Russia, Italy, Austria, Germany, Azerbaijan, Montenegro, and Serbia. Zeynalov's works can be found in several prestigious institutions, including the Moscow Museum of Contemporary Art, the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Academy Gallery in Florence, the Italian Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), the Medici Palace in Florence, and the Ruarts Foundation in Moscow.
